What Guides Me as a Designer
Grit, curiosity, and a deep love for building things that make a difference.
I’m a first-generation graduate from the hills of Darjeeling. My journey began in a small town, but I’ve always nurtured big dreams. I earned my engineering degree in Kolkata and carved my own path into the world of product design, without a roadmap or industry connections. Over the past 8 years, I’ve built and scaled digital products used by millions, combining technical problem-solving with thoughtful, user-centered design. Each step in my career reflects not just professional growth, but a deep drive to push boundaries and represent where I come from.
I grew up surrounded by control panels and creativity—my father, a sound designer, unknowingly passed the blueprint of design-thinking and Rock music into my DNA.
Years later, co-founding Appycat Street gave me my first hands-on taste of building a brand from scratch—designing clothes, running the e-commerce site, crafting visuals, leading marketing, and even modeling when needed.
That hands-on, chaotic, and joyful journey is what first drew me to the sweet spot where design, technology, and human behavior meet.
I’ve always found inspiration in the in-between...
between piano keys and keyboard shortcuts,
between brushstrokes and wireframes,
between intuitive recipes and user flows,
between UX strategy and mountain trails.
And in that space, I design for humans. Curious, unpredictable, beautiful humans.
